POSITION DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Serves as litigator for the City in all State and Federal Courts. Identifies, analyzes and discusses legal issues associated with projects. Establishes and acts as liaison with departments, the City Manager and the Mayor and Council to integrate legal support into policies, and to provide legal advice and assistance. Tohono O'odham Judicial Court Judge (four positions):
The Tohono O'odham Judicial Court in Sells, Arizona is advertising four open positions. The starting salary for a licensed attorney is $204,046.75 and additional compensation is granted for fluent O'odham speakers, or if selected to be the chief or deputy chief judge.

Department of the Interior (Office of the Solicitor) Attorney-Advisor:

 Phoenix, Arizona (Telework eligible). The Solicitor's Office performs a wide variety of the legal work for the United States Department of the Interior.  The selected Attorney-Advisor will provide legal advice on and legal services for matters pertaining to the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), including environmental liability, water rights, endangered species issues, laws and regulations of general applicability to Federal agencies, such as the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, National Reclamation Act, and other relevant federal laws. Applicants should have the ability to interact and negotiate with Tribes, States, and local governmental entities, regarding contracts, agreements, and other matters, including Indian water rights settlementsClosing date: November 6, 2024. Applications may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available. Salary range: $90,833 - $165,931 per year.
