"[Mentors'] very existence is confirmation of the possibilities one may have have every reason to doubt, saying, 'Yes, someone like me can do this'" -- Sonia Sotomayor, First Latina Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America
As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to give an undergraduate Latina the confidence that someone like her can become a lawyer and contribute directly diversifying our legal community! We have 25 students enrolled, and would like to be able to provide one-on-one mentoring.
We expect the time commitment to be less than 1 hour per week most weeks. The expected time commentment includes:
- Contact your mentee on a weekly basis over the course of the 2025 Spring semester;
- Ensure that your mentee has in-person contact with you or shadows you, if able; and
- Attend program networking events, if available.
